Accessibility statement

A site about learning should be usable by anyone. We're committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, taking the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as our reference, with level AA as the conformance target.

We're honest about the status: it's a target we review continuously, not a certificate. This statement was last reviewed on August 18, 2026.

What's implemented

  • Colour contrast based on the brand tokens, verified for text and controls (including the primary button's contrast pair).
  • Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a «skip to content» link.
  • Semantic HTML: hierarchical headings, lists, tables with headers and labelled regions.
  • Touch targets of at least 44 pixels on buttons and navigation links.
  • Animations switch off if your system asks for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion).
  • The site works without JavaScript: navigation, content and key pages don't require it; the demos degrade to a static version.
  • Alternative text or ARIA labels on illustrations, with decorative elements marked as such.
  • No time limits, no flashing content and no auto-playing audio.
  • Layout built on logical properties: the site reads correctly right-to-left in Arabic, with directional iconography mirrored.

Limits we know about

  • The interactive karaoke demo simulates a visual highlighting experience; without JavaScript it shows an equivalent static version, but the animated simulation isn't available in that mode.
  • We haven't yet carried out an external accessibility audit; this statement is based on our own review with automated tools and manual keyboard testing.
  • The translated versions of this site are drafts pending native-speaker review: they may contain unnatural phrasing.
