A slider mixes the vocal track with the instrumental one. At first the guide voice is loud and the child follows it; then it comes down and they are left alone. There is never a jump into the void.

Turn it down and you get karaoke: the backing track keeps playing and the child sings over it. It’s the same control as in the app.
The audio couldn’t be loaded, so the line advances on its own using its real timings.

And when they stop reading and start singing
Reading the line is the beginning. The lesson has five steps and four of them ask something of the child.
The feedback celebrates the attempt
When they sing a Challenge, the app listens and gives back a kind comment about which sound to move closer. The child’s audio is processed and discarded: it is never stored, not on the phone and not on a server.
The word comes back, in another song
Each word reappears on average in 5.9 later lessons, in another world and with another melody. It is the boring part of learning a language, done with different songs.

An app that hasn't launched has no family testimonials, and the ones you see on products like this are usually made up. We'd rather show you things you can check yourself, without taking our word for it. Next to that is the list of what we still can't prove.

This column shrinks on its own: everything that comes true moves to the one beside it. We won't delete it when it's empty — we'll fill it with whatever is next.
